Halloween Waxwings

After reports of Waxwings from around Ashington recently, me and my dad set out to try and find them. Eventually after driving around looking in all the favoured trees 16 flew across the car in front of us and landed in some small Rowan trees in ASDA petrol station. A couple of minutes later they flew off and we lost them to view.

 

 On arriving back home I heard the destinctive call of another Waxwing out of the window. I looked out to see 2 Waxwings in the trees opposite my house! A good way to end the day.
