The long-staying Siberian Lesser Whitethroat was the only bird of note that we could find in Tynemouth and North Shields this morning. DNA has proved this bird to be a Siberian Lesser Whitethroat (blythi) rather than Central Asian Lesser Whitethroat (halimondendri).
